The W6WJ Central Coast Amateur Radio Group will be joining with the W6AB Satellite Amateur Radio Club for a Swap Meet on June 15th, 2024

We attended the Swap Meet on June 15th 2024.  Among our sellers were Dave K6AYK, Marc K6ZAP and Steve KI6FW

There was also a raffle at the swap meet where several very nice prizes were awarded.

I had just been talking to a young ham that stopped by our table. After a short conversation he said he was going to look for a Dual Band radio and he left. A few minutes later they called the last raffle drawing of the day. The winner was our own, Dave K6AYK. He went up and picked up his prize. A brand new TYT TH 9800 Quad Band radio. As he was walking back to our table Marcel from the Santa Barbara Amateur Radio Club mentioned to Dave that this young man was looking for a Dual Band Radio. Dave asked him what his call sign was. The young man gave Dave his call sign and Dave handed him the brand new radio that he had just won! The young man was in shock!! Thank you Dave for your generosity and exemplifying the true Ham spirit. This young man will remember this for the rest of his life and maybe someday be able to pass on this act of kindness.
