Our Arroyo Grande City Councilwoman Kate Secrest stopped by to see our operation.  Meeting with Dave K6AYK

One of our tent stations, headed up by Dave K6AYK

Our second station, headed up by Steve KI6FW.

This station was very popular as it contained all the snacks and a camp stove for making coffee!

We made hundreds of contacts all over the country, including Hawaii and Alaska.  Plus The Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico!  There were many, many log pages. The final count was over 500 contacts!

We put up two antennas.  This is our large vertical antenna and the other was a long Dipole.  Both of which were supplied by Dave K6AYK.

We had many, many visitors stop by to see what we were doing.  They all walked away very impressed with our operation.  We even had some come back the second day to see how we did and if we really worked all night!

I have to say the highlight of the whole day was this wonderful dinner cooked for us by Ron WB6BMN. Followed by ice cream and berries.

We ran our stations on batteries and solar power.  We had a generator for backup power, but I can say that my station ran on battery power the entire event.

Thanks to Randy KF6BMJ for taking the following pictures
